Description
This is a shot of an area on St. George Island State Park that was marked off due to the time of year. From May through October Loggerhead Turtles make their way up on shore for nesting.
St. George Island is 9 miles of undeveloped beaches and dunes, surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Apalachicola Bay. This is the perfect setting for St. George Island Park. St. George occupies 1962 acres at the end of a long, narrow barrier island, and is a combination of sandy coves, salt marshes, shady pines, and oak forests. The park supports an abundance of marine and bird life.
