The Flume Covered Bridge In Franconia Notch, New Hampshire Was Built In 1871 To Cross The Pemigewasset River. It Has A Paddleford Truss That Spans Just Over 41 Feet While The Length Of The Bridge Itself It 50 Feet.
The Pemigewasset River, known locally as "The Pemi", is a river in the state of New Hampshire, the United States. It is 65.0 miles in length and drains approximately 1,021 square miles. The name "Pemigewasset" comes from the Abenaki word bemijijoasek [bəmidzidzoasək], meaning "where side current is". Wikipedia
